Palin: Why Defenders of the Constitution Fear Her
What Sarah Palin brings to the table has been colorfully coined “Palin Power”. It scares anyone that cares to defend the principles of the Constitution for a lot of reasons, but mainly because her values and beliefs virtually render the dawn of a police-like state. Sarah Palin’s nomination came about following covert meetings and conversations among members and associates of The Family. One could compare this to how a closed society works.
A closed society operates like a ‘gang’ some think, even a cabal with all of its negative connotations. The group or ‘Gang” selects a candidate for a political post who they know will act as a figurehead, whose rhetoric reflects their interests. But a true cabal makes sure the election will be manipulated with them as the marionette. Looking at today’s examples, Russia has a president and holds elections. But the incumbent is already known to the sponsoring cabal. And the cabal knows too that their wishes are the president’s demands. The point is that elections do not necessarily mean freedoms.
Free thinking Americans realize that Palin is a character being all dolled up by the conservative elite to effect change that they embrace. It is known that Bush speech writer’s let their fingers do the talking for Palin. She reads what they write. In one of her speeches she echoes the Presidents very words when she says "the heart of America is on display", a phrase used by Bush in 2000. Palin tells people, just as Bush did, that Iraq had a bloody hand in the 9/11 attacks. This she says even while official reports proved that Afghanistan and Pakistan were the hotbeds where the plot was incubated.
Some point out other examples that they feel prove that Palin is downright unlawful. Rather than face a state sanctioned subpoena, Palin has managed to become entangled in the protective web of the Republican Party and its relationship with LLI.
Finally, a look at the debacle that took place at the RNC: More than 300 journalists and protesters of the war were arrested on a variety of charges following police intervention of the heavy hitting kind. After the earlier peaceful demonstration of several thousand had dispersed, a militaristic splinter group turned violent with acts of mischief –throwing bottles, slashing tires and harassing Republican delegates. The Minnesota National Guard moved in with pepper spray and batons swinging. Those arrested were forced to lie face down and be handcuffed.
What does all of this have to do with the choice of Governor Palin for Vice-president? According to the right wing establishment, The McCain-Palin ticket is nothing more than a vehicle for the likes of Karl Rove and Dick Cheney who are the virtual anti-Christ’s of personal freedoms and rights for all. In McCain-Palin's America, citizens who are protest are being charged as terrorists. This can only foretell of what is to come, according to some; a police state where there are no freedoms, no freedom of expression, no freedom of speech, no privacy - for the religious right or anyone else for that matter- except, of course, for the power elite. Elections will be held as was previously mentioned but the votes won’t matter. The candidate will have been handpicked, like Palin, to serve the power elite.
